"The ultimate dream in life is to be able to do what you love and learn something from it."
-Jennifer Love Hewitt
There is nothing I would rather do with my life than paint.
I have been so fortunate to have been encouraged from a young age to do just that and then even more privileged to graduate from Sheridan College with a Bachelors degree in Illustration which allows me to keep doing that.
Beyond going to school I have worked for an amazing mural company for almost five years now, which has allowed me to explore a million ways to paint and taught me so much especially when it comes to murals for children.
Under that company, we have painted hundreds (completely serious! Hundreds!) of murals for the charity organization Smilezone who offers makeovers for children's units in hospitals, and nothing completes a makeover like a mural.
This specific line of work has taught me not just about the technique of painting but even more about the psychology that is tied to those images and colours we put on our walls, I have become very in tune with what kind of imagery excites children, what imagery soothes children with different types of disabilities and learned the difference that a space can make on someone going through an incredibly hard time, be that even a terminal illness or even a mental illness.
The world can be a difficult place but there is something truly special about making a space your own, so when you come back to it at the end of the day it can bring a special smile to your face that says, I am home.
I started this company to help people find that feeling and work together to create something beautiful.
